Haraya ng Pag-asa began as a conversation between sisters
Growing up, we met many people with genuine potential who were held back, not because of a lack of ability, but because of life circumstances: family struggles, financial barriers, or unexpected detours. Yet we also saw how even small acts of support could ripple outward and have outsized effects, transforming not just a student’s future but also their family and their faith.
In 2025 we founded Haraya ng Pag-asa Scholars Inc. with the conviction that quality education should not only be for the “best and brightest,” but should open doors for those who are determined to rise from setbacks, build careers, and pursue their calling. Our vision is not simply to give financial aid, but to walk alongside students, to support them as they grow in leadership, seek jobs, or pivot in their careers. This is more than assistance and support; it is a life partnership.
Like our scholars, we too are still in the middle of our own career journeys, facing challenges that have made us pause and wonder: are there others struggling in the same way—looking for jobs, finding it hard to pursue a career or to continue their studies, or longing for encouragement? Just as we have been lifted by our communities and even by strangers, this is our way of telling Filipino students: you are not alone.
We want to partner with you as you discover the hope, courage, and purpose you already carry within. That is the vision of our hope—our Haraya ng Pag-asa.
